Bluewater to Release Michael Jackson Collectible Comic

A special collectors’ edition biography comic based on Michael Jackson is set to release in October through Bluewater Productions. “Tribute: Michael Jackson, King of Pop,” will follow Jackson’s rise to fame, beginning with the Jackson 5, to his last days. The book will also feature a wraparound cover and a forward by The Official Michael Jackson Fan Club’s Giuseppe Mazzalo. The comic bio is written by Wey-Yuih Loh and illustrated by Giovanni Timpano.

Bluewater Productions has previously produced comic bios, including “Female Force” featuring Hilary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Princess Diana and others. In July, the publisher is releasing “Political Power” featuring Colin Powell, Barack Obama and Al Gore.

MJ Licensing reportedly holds the merchandising rights to the icon in Europe through mid 2012, according to published reports. A video game was also in the works, according to a post on MJ Data Bank on June 21. The game, to coincide with Jackson’s This Is It tour in London, was scheduled to be released before Christmas.
