Bob the Builder Enters The 4th Dimension

Licensing International Expo exhibitor HIT Entertainment (Booth #2418 & #2622) and theme park-operator Merlin Entertainments have partnered to produce a 4-D film Bob the Builder and the Roller Coaster to be shown exclusively at Legoland theme parks worldwide beginning March 2009. The 10-minute film uses 3-D computer-generated animation with special glasses, plus special effects—such as wind and mist in the theater—for a 4-D effect.

It debuts at Legoland in Windsor in the U.K. and Legoland California in the U.S. in March, followed by Legolands Denmark and Germany and in Legoland Discovery Centers in April. The film will be shown in the theme parks’ theaters daily.

The movie is exclusive to Legoland for one year in the U.K., U.S., Germany and Denmark.
