GI Joe Book, Warriors Comics for iPhone Out Soon

Paramount Licensing has revealed the release dates for a GI Joe movie companion book and The Warriors-based iPhone game. GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra: Mission Dossier from Titan Books will be available in the US on July 21 and in the UK. on July 24. The title is the official companion book for Paramount Pictures’ GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra, to be released worldwide on August 7.

Classic novel and 1979 cult film The Warriors, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, will see comics available for the iPhone, iPod touch and Google’s Android mobile devices through iVerse Media on July 15. The first comic from Dabel Brothers Publishing will be a movie adaptation of the upcoming remake from Paramount Pictures, written by David Atichison and art by Chris Dibari. The first issue will be free and subsequent issues will be 99 cents each. The Warriors remake is slated to hit US theaters in 2010.
