Cartoon Network has appointed Kitric Kerns to the newly created role of vice president and executive producer of its digital operations. Kerns will manage strategy and development of content for www.cartoonnetwork.com. The site currently averages more than 5 million unique users each month in the US, according to Turner Broadcasting. The web destination offers fans more than 200 free-to-play online games.
“Kitric brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the digital space working with leading branded entertainment websites,” says Paul Condolora, senior vice president of digital for Turner Broadcasting’s animation, young adults and kids media group. “As we continue to develop our digital offerings on CartoonNetwork.com, Kitric will be a leader to maximize our audience through compelling content.”
Kerns previously worked as director of digital media at ABC Daytime/SOAPnet for the Walt Disney Company.
