Nick Adds Six New Series to Line-Up

A number of new animated and live-action kids’ shows have joined Nickelodeon’s programming line-up, as announced at yesterday’s annual upfront presentation at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

The six new series to debut are:

  • “House of Anubis” (working title), a long-form mystery series following eight students trying to solve a hidden mystery at an English boarding school. It’s the first live-action Nick show produced in Europe (fall 2010).
  • “Victorious,” stars actress Victoria Justice (“Zoey 101”) as Tori Vega, who joins a cast of teens who act, sing and dance while attending an elite performing arts school (March 27).
  • “Kung Fu Panda: The Series,” based on Dreamworks’ animated film Kung Fu Panda. This is the second collaboration between Nick and the studio.
  • “Planet Sheen,” an intergalactic tale of Sheen Guevera Estevez, a character from Nick’s “Jimmy Neutron.”
  • “T.U.F.F. Puppy,” follows Dudley Puppy as he protects his hometown as part of the Turbo Undercover Fighting Force.
  • “Bubble Guppies,” an animated variety show for preschoolers that takes place in a 3-D CGI-animated underwater classroom.

Five new shows are planned to premiere on Nickelodeon’s digital networks—TeenNick, Nicktoons and Nick Jr. They are “Gigantic” (TeenNick), “Voltron Panthera Force” (Nicktoons), “Dragon Ball Z Kai (Nicktoons), “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (Nicktoons) and “Dino Dan” (Nick Jr).

Meanwhile, there will be new seasons for 16 returning Nick shows, including “iCarly,” “Big Time Rush,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “The Penguins of Madagascar” “Dora the Explorer” and “The Wonder Pets.”
