Sony and Capcom Bring Zombie-Hunter Franchise to Big Screen

Resident Evil: Degeneration — a co-production of Capcom Co., Ltd. and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan Co., Ltd. and based on the popular video game franchise — makes its worldwide theatrical debut in Japan on October 18, 2008. The movie will be exhibited in the United States at the New York City Horror Film Festival on November 13th and at a screening in Los Angeles on November 18th hosted by Fangoria, and released on DVD and Blu-ray before the end of 2008.

A CG spectacular, Resident Evil: Degeneration is produced by renowned gaming producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi (associate producer of Resident Evil: Apocalypse and video game producer of Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 4).

Makoto Kamiya, the man behind the special effects of L: Change The World and Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack directs.
