Spin Master Tapped for ‘Olivia’ Toy Line

Chorion’s (Booth #1851) Olivia series will see a line of preschool toys out in fall 2010 from Spin Master. The worldwide master toy deal was set amid the series’ 3-D CGI debut on Nickelodeon in the US on January 26. Olivia, based on the Simon & Schuster picture book series by Ian Falconer, follows the adventures of a young girl’s imagination. The book debuted in 2000 and has sold 6 million books worldwide in 40 countries.

“Chorion did an exceptional job translating Olivia to TV, really capturing her essence and magic from the books,” says Adam Beder, vice president of licensing for Spin Master. “With such a great platform, it will make it a very natural fit for us to develop Olivia’s bold personality and extraordinary imagination into bold and creative toys.”
