A line of Sharper Image-branded kitchen appliances will roll out this fall in the US and Canada. The iconic electronics brand recently inked a five-year license deal with small kitchen appliance manufacturer and infomerical marketer Emson USA. The line in development will feature blenders, coffee-makers, cookers and other kitchen electrics. The Sharper Image kitchen line is expected to be sold at retailers such as Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy’s and JCPenney. Currently, The Sharper Image super juicer is available on TV and at retail.
“The Sharper Image is a coveted brand with a high consumer recognition,” says Ed Mishan, chief executive officer of Emson USA. “The brand can now be extended to kitchenware products that blend technology with great designs. Our direct response TV advertising will foster increased brand awareness, as well as educate the consumer on our products’ features and benefits.”
