At 260 select Toys “R” Us stores nationwide, a new “R” Market has opened. The in-store convenience shop features kid-focused snacks, healthcare items and more. The “R” Market offers more than 1,000 consumables products, such as snacks, beverages, breakfast foods, health and beauty aids, candy, paper goods, as well as laundry and cleaning supplies. Diapers, infant formula and baby food, which is already sold at Toys “R” Us stores, will be relocated within the “R” Market.
“As part of our business strategy, we are continually focused on improving the shopping experience for customers in our stores,” says Jerry Storch, chairman and chief executive officer of Toys “R” Us. “This includes looking for new ways to provide busy parents with the convenience of finding everything they need for their kids under one roof. The introduction of “R” Market offers customers a uniquely edited presentation of differentiated, kid-focused products from well-known manufacturers, as well as newer brands.”
Additional “R” Markets will roll out at Toys “R” Us stores later this year.
