Turner’s Cartoon Network (Booth #2426) is teaming up with toy store Hamleys with its new animation series Ben 10: Alien Force. The property forms part of Hamleys Cartoon Crazy events program in stores in London, Dublin and Dubai from March 9 to 15. London’s famous Regent Street store will lead the activity with toy demonstrations, a costume character visit on March 14, in-store giveaways and a competition to win the window display of Ben 10: Alien Force giveaways supplied by licensee Bandai.
“Ben 10 performed brilliantly for us in 2008 and we are delighted to have teamed up with Cartoon Network and Bandai to promote the new Ben 10: Alien Force series,” says Matt Webb, head of marketing at Hamleys. “As previously quoted, building strong relationships with broadcasters and licensors is at the top of my agenda for Hamleys and there aren’t many better organizations to kick off with.”
“Hamleys is a premiere retail destination with a global profile and we’re really excited about teaming up with them for the launch of the Ben 10: Alien Force toy range,” says Graham Saltmarsh, Turner CN Enterprises licensing director for UK, Scandinavia, Benelux and Israel. “The iconic Regent Street store provides the perfect environment to showcase new products from our award-winning licensee Bandai, products that will ensure Ben 10’s growth in 2009 and beyond.”
