Twilight-Dedicated Boutiques Arrive at TRU

Toys“R”Us has opened in-store Twilight boutiques in stores nationwide. Its Web site is also featuring exclusive merchandise based on the teen vampire franchise, which will see its second film New Moon hit theaters on Nov. 20.

The in-store shops are currently carrying action figures, games, books, gift packs, accessories and a special re-release of the
Twilight DVD. Product highlights include:

• Edward gift set from NECA (exclusively at TRU), featuring a translucent carrying case with a decorative Edward throw pillow, matching fleece blanket and cotton canvas tote
• figure two-packs from NECA (exclusively at TRU), featuring an Edward and Alice Cullen set or Bella and Jacob set—both include posters
• all four books from the series, as well as updated versions of Twilight and New Moon with film-inspired covers and titles dedicated to the film’s actors

Meanwhile, www.toysrus.com/newmoon is offering merchandise, as well as downloadable wallpaper options and a TRU exclusive cut of the New Moon trailer. A New Moon sweepstakes also launches this week, in which fans can enter for a chance to win one of seven prizes such as a robe worn during a Volturi scene, a New Moon poster signed by talent from the film and more.

On Nov. 19, TRU’s Times Square store will feature a selection of apparel from Hot Topic and other movie merchandise. Fans will also get the opportunity to take their photo against a backdrop featuring the characters from the movie and participate in a trivia quiz. A VIP autograph session will feature Nikki Reed (“Rosalie”) and Kellan Lutz (“Emmett”). Props and scenery from the New Moon set will also be on display.
