Urban Outfitters' European Growth Strategy

Philadelphia-based retailer Urban Outfitters plans to slowly expand its presence throughout Europe—setting out to open 100 European-based stores for each of its chains within the next decade.

Next month, Urban Outfitters will open its second Anthropologie store, focused on women’s apparel, in London. By the year’s end, five additional Urban Outfitter stores will begin business. The retailer currently operates 18 Urban Outfitter stores in the territory.
