Ludia and Entertainment Rights (Booth #2835)have teamed up to bring the Where’s Waldo? brand into the video game market. The first game, Where’s Waldo?: The Fantastic Journey, will launch later this year. The multi-year worldwide deal will see the travel icon on a series of video games for gaming consoles, PCs, Macs and the iPod touch. The games will feature classic adventure themes from the books and can be played by up to four players.
“Our partnership with Ludia marks the next phase of Waldo’s 21st birthday celebration,” says Laura Turner Laing, vice president of global digital media and music for Entertainment Rights. “We are pleased to be working with Ludia to deliver innovative and highly engaging games that will bring the search-and-find experience to life in a spectacular new way. The game will play a key role in the 2009 brand strategy for Waldo, and we are excited to send him on his newest journey.”
Ludia has also developed video games for American Idol, Hell’s Kitchen and The Price is Right.
