FME Secures Product Deals for "The X Factor"

Two new licensees have been added to develop merchandise for FremantleMedia Enterprises' "The X Factor." Season 6 premiered this weekend on ITV.

The latest partners are Sisteme for insulated lunch bags, lunch boxes and drink bottles and Event Merchandising for an online shop to offer branded gift items.

The X Factor's licensing program already includes Aykroyd's and TDP Licensing for girls' and ladies' nightwear, Kinnerton for an Advent calendar and a mug gift set, Helix Limited for stationery, David Halsall for musical pocket-money toys and a microphone hairbrush, Clarity Vision for karaoke machines and Winning Moves for playing cards.

"The X Factor licensed products allow fans to interact with the brand beyond the television show and outside of the broadcast schedule," says Lucy McCredie, vice president of brand licensing and retail for the U.K. at FME. "We work closely with our partners to create products that the whole family can engage with and we're always on the look out for new partners and ideas."
