Major Studios Debut Licensed Products

Several entertainment licensors showcased new licensed products for key properties at Comic-Con, which opened yesterday in San Diego.

In addition to the product offerings from CBS Consumer Products and Hasbro that License! Global reported earlier this week, here are highlights from the show floor.

Nickelodeon, Toynami and vinyl toy brand Unkl inked an agreement to create co-branded SpongeBob SquarePants urban vinyl toys modeled after Unkl’s UniPo figures. Toynami unveiled working prototypes of the first wave of figures at Comic-Con, which will include SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs and The Flying Dutchman. The figures will be available this fall.

Nickelodeon Consumer Products unveiled a new lineup of toys from Jazwares for "Fanboy and Chum Chum.” The line, which will be offered exclusively at Toys 'R' Us stores beginning in August, includes action figures, play sets, plush toys, a boombox, walkie talkies and headphones.

Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products unveiled several new collectible products for its most popular franchises: Hallmark's limited edition Comic Book Guy Keepsake ornament; Kidrobot's limited edition Glow-In-The-Dark Mini Stewie and Mini Brian; Playmates Toys' Crazy Interactive World Family Guy figures and play sets; Hallmark's Family Guy greetings cards; Toynami's limited edition Futurama Robot Devil plush and 'Tineez' Bender; Hasbro's Monopoly Futurama collector's edition; Changes' Family Guy T-shirts; Hallmark's Glee greeting cards; Glee costumes from Rubie's; Boom! Studios' Planet of the Apes comics; Sideshow Collectibles' Alien Vs. Predator mask set; NECA's classic Predator Gort mask; Legacy Effects' Neytiri maquette and Hot Toys' Jake Sully figure; and Acme Animation's exclusive Futurama lithographs.
