Universal Signs Deals for Top Brands

Universal Partnerships and Licensing has announced a series of new deals for some of its top properties including Back to the Future, Curious George and Jurassic Park.

The films American Pie, The Big Lebowski, The Breakfast Club, Scarface and Sixteen Candles will make an appearance on a line of MusicSkins’ smartphone, tablet and computer cases in the U.S.

Greensource Brand Apparel is planning apparel lines in the U.S. and Canada for Child’s Play 2 and Psycho.

In other apparel and accessories deals, Fifth Sun Graphics will make Jurassic Park apparel for the U.S. and Canada, and Ross Sportswear has signed on to make hats, caps, gloves and mittens for the characters Chilly Willy and Curious George in the U.S.

Curious 5 has also signed on to make apparel, accessories and stationary for the World’s Only Curious George Store in Cambridge, Mass., the Minnesota Children’s Museum is planning a Curious George touring exhibit and Pressman Toy will produce Curious George puzzles for the U.S. and Canada.

New partners for the Back to the Future brand include Think Geek for watches and dashboard figures in the U.S. and Canada, Welly Die Casting for die-cast vehicles in the U.S. and Aoshima Bunka Kyozai for models and model kits in Japan.

Jurassic Park will be coming to a line of audiobooks from C-Trade in Eastern Europe and finally, Seconda Vergani will make The Land Before Time candy and Venturelli Angelo di Venurell has signed on for The Land Before Time plush and key rings, both in Italy.
