Potential pitfalls as well as examples of real-life successes in dealing most efficiently and most profitably with studios, publishers, agents, and other IP owners will be discussed with the audience.

Stephen Stanley heads worldwide licensing for JAKKS Pacific Inc., a leading global toy company, and is a well-recognized brand marketing expert. Stephen has been active in licensed consumer products for more than 20 years, is a past LIMA Board Director, and has led his company to achieve multiple LIMA Licensing Excellence Awards. He has headed licensing sales for Hasbro International, executive-produced TV gameshows and kids TV animation, and managed licensing acquisitions across multiple categories including video games, trading card games, sporting goods, back-to-school/stationery, home/nursery décor, costumes, and seasonal goods.

As VP Business and Legal Affairs with Kenner Toys and Hasbro Inc. for 20 years, Jim Kipling negotiated and drafted many of the biggest licensing deals in the Toy & Game Industry, with resulting product sales exceeding $6.5B. In 10 years subsequent private practice, Mr. Kipling continues to represent Licensors and Licensees in various industries, creatively developing favorable deals and precise agreements consistent with his Clients’ business plans.

Randi brings 19 years of experience in the field of Licensing and Marketing. With a proven track record in global brand management, she has been responsible for the launching of mass-market retail business with key retailers including Wal-mart, Target, Nordstrom’s and Macy’s.

Most recently, in her position as Vice President of Marketing and Licensing for JEM Sportswear and AWAKE, Inc., Randi manages more than 35 active licensors in entertainment, music, brands, food/beverage, Gaming and emerging media.
